Sophia is entering her fourth season with Rice as the Director of Volleyball Operations. As director of operations, Sophia has been responsible for developing schedules, managing inventory and maintaining communication channels between members of the staff and roster. During her time on South Main, the Owls have gone 64-23 and won the 2022 C-USA championship, also advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament the same season.
Prior to joining the Owls, Bemiss was the head student manager for three years for Baylor volleyball.
Bemiss graduated from Rice with a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies in 2024. She graduated from Baylor with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2022.
