Volleyball Announces 2026 Spring Schedule

HOUSTON – Rice volleyball head coach Genny Volpe announced the Owls' spring 2026 schedule on Friday. The slate features a local trip to the F.A.S.T. College Tournament, home matches against TCU, Texas A&M and Houston, and a road finale at Texas.
The spring season opens March 28 at the F.A.S.T. College Tournament at the F.A.S.T. Complex in Houston. In previous appearances, the Owls have faced Houston Christian, LSU and TCU.
Rice will host two NCAA postseason teams April 3 at Tudor Fieldhouse, facing TCU at 1:30 p.m. and Texas A&M at 5:30 p.m. The Owls met both programs during the fall season. Rice fell to TCU 3-1 on Sept. 20 during the Rice Invitational II and dropped a 3-0 decision to Texas A&M in the season opener Aug. 29.
Rice will also host Houston on April 10 at 3:30 p.m. The teams met in an exhibition on Aug. 23, and their last regular-season meeting resulted in a sweep for the Owls on Aug. 26, 2022.
The Owls close the spring schedule April 17 at Texas, with first serve set for 5 p.m. at Gregory Gymnasium. Rice hosted the Longhorns in the fall and claimed a set in the contest.
