Shreeve comes to Houston after spending the past four seasons in Provo, Utah at BYU. Most recently, Shreeve served as the Interim Director of Basketball Operations under head coach Jeff Judkins. In addition to coordinating all aspects of practice, game scheduling, and travel, Shreeve was also the video coordinator and assisted the coaching staff in preparing scouting reports.
“I love that Michael is coming to us from a very good BYU program so he knows what success looks like,” Edmonds said. “He’s had experiences in several different areas of the game and I know he will work extremely hard for Rice Women’s Basketball.”
Prior to that, Shreeve was a graduate assistant in 2019-20 for the Cougars and helped assist as a practice player for four season while attending BYU from 2014-18.
Shreeve received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from BYU in 2018 and later completed his Master of Science degree with a concentration in mass communications in 2021.
