Mia Gallo enters her second season as video coordinator for the women's basketball team.
Rice women's basketball head coach Lindsay Edmonds announced the hiring of Gallo as video coordinator on July 1, 2022.
Gallo is a familiar face from Conference USA, having spent last season as a graduate assistant coach for a Southern Miss team that went 18-12 overall. Prior to her time in Hattiesburg, Miss., Gallo worked two seasons as a graduate assistant for the Boise State women's basketball team. Her responsibilities included video exchange, in addition to assisting with on-court coaching and creating scouting reports.
Gallo arrived at Boise State following the conclusion of her playing career at Cal State Fullerton. She walked onto the team prior to the 2016-17 campaign and would go on to play 52 games over three seasons. Gallo graduated from Cal State Fullerton in 2019 with a degree in kinesiology and would later earn her master's degree at Boise State.
