Rice: Graduate transfer from New Mexico who returned home to the Houston area after earning a pair of letters with the Lobos and completing his degree in three years.
2021
Enjoyed the most productive season of his career in his first season with the Owls... Finished the season with 38 receptions for 583 yards-both second on the team-and six touchdown receptions to lead the Owls…Came to the Owls with 16 receptions, 301 yards, and three TD receptions in three years at New Mexico... Led the receiving corps with 686 snaps after having 467 in three years at New Mexico... Topped 100 yards for the first time in his career with 108 vs. Texas Southern and added 100 vs. WKU... Two of his touchdowns came in the last minute of games to force overtime (12 yards with 16 left vs. North Texas) and provide the winning points (3 yards with 1:01 vs. LA Tech) while a third came with 12 seconds left in the first half (33 yards at UTEP)... Combined with Jake Constantine on a 73-yard TD strike on the first play of the TSU game for the longest play in either’s career and the longest TD pass play for Rice since Driphus Jackson and Jordan Taylor struck from 88-yards on the first play vs. North Texas in 2014... Scored the first rushing touchdown of his career on a 38-yard end-around vs. Southern Miss... Has 10 career touchdowns (Rice 7, New Mexico 3), six of at least 33 yards (62, 39, and 38 yard TD receptions at New Mexico; 73 and 33-yard receptions and 38-yard rush with Rice).
2020
Played in six of seven games and caught seven passes for 64 yards... Top effort was against Utah State, catching a career-best three passes for 37 yards.
2019
Played in 12 games, catching eight passes for 198 yards (24.1 average) and two touchdowns …Caught two passes, including a career-long 62-yard touchdown against New Mexico State … also caught two passes against Air Force for 29 yards … Had a 38=yard touchdown against San Jose State … Caught one pass in the season finale against Utah State for 30 yards... Mountain West All-Academic in 2019 and named Mountain West Scholar-Athlete in 2019-20.
2018
Retained his redshirt while playing in two games... Made his collegiate debut vs. Utah State.
High School
Lettered in football and track at Crosby High School for coach Jeff Riorden, the same school that produced former Owl standouts Aston and Austin Walter … caught 54 passes for 1,047 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior … averaged 116.3 yards receiving per game … earned Area 21-5A All-District honors … had a PR in track of 10.90 in the 100-meters in 2017.
