2025: Made 13 appearances, including one start, as a true freshman…Made his debut against Tennessee at the Astros Foundation College Classic and allowed a run in two innings with a pair of strikeouts… Made his first career start on 3/5 vs. Houston and was charged with the loss… Stranded nine of 13 inherited runners, including seven in a row over four appearances from 3/18 to 4/11… Came on with the bases loaded and one out at Lamar on 3/25 and did not allow anyone to score, striking out his first hitter and ending the inning with a ground out… Did not allow a run in back-to-back outings vs. Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Incarnate Word, covering 4.2 innings… Set career highs with 2.2 innings and three strikeouts vs. UIW on 3/18… Allowed only two steals in five attempts.
Prior to Rice: All-District 13-6A selection as a junior who missed his senior season with an injury… Posted a 6-2 record with an .897 WHIP and 80 strikeouts as a junior, including a 3-0 mark without allowing an earned run in the postseason.
