Indoor: Opened at the Leonard Hilton Invitational with a pair of Top 10 finishes...finished sixth in the pole vault after jumping 4.45m and seventh in the 60H in 8.81, after running a personal best of 8.47 in the preliminary round...at the Houston Invitational, placed fifth in the pole vault after vaulting 4.60m...competed in the heptathlon at the Charlie Thomas Invitational and placed fifth overall with 5125 points and placed fourth in the heptathlon high jump, jumping a height of 1.97m...at C-USA Indoor Championships, finished 10th overall in the regular pole vault with a height of 4.44m. Outdoor: Finished in the Top 10, 11 different times over the course of seven different disciplines...at the Cougar Spring Break Invitational, participated in the shot put, seventh place after a throw of 12.77m, and the discus throw, eighth after throwing 43.50m...finished second in the javelin toss, 57.99m, and 15th in the discus throw, 44.52m, at the Victor Lopez Classic...competed in his first decathlon of the season at the Skecher's Performance Carl Kight Invitational where he placed first overall in the decathlon with 7294 points...placed first in both the decathlon discus throw and shot put, second in the decathlon high jump, pole vault, and javelin throw, and third in the decathlon 100m dash and long jump...at the UCSD Triton Invitational, ran a time of 15.49 in the 110H for eighth place and threw a javelin 57.40m for sixth place...ran in the 4x400m relay at the J Fred Duckett Twilight Meet, finishing seventh in a time of 3:30.99 and also pole vaulted, finishing ninth after vaulting 4.48m...at the Tom Tellez Invitational, vaulted the height of 4.45m for second place...competed and finished in three different disciplines at the C-USA Outdoor Championships, the pole vault, javelin throw, and decathlon...vaulted 4.67m for 10th place and threw the javelin 63.18m for 4th...finished third overall in the decathlon with 7369 points and won the decathlon's shot put, high jump, and pole vault...qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Round in the javelin throw, where he threw 58.69m to place 39th overall....set a personal best with 7380 points to place ninth at the USA Track & Field Championships.
