Jalen Smith Signs Pro Contract with BC Prievidza

HOUSTON — Rice Men's Basketball alum Jalen Smith has signed a professional contract with BC Prievidza.
This past season, Smith was third on the team with 12.5 points per game and second with 2.3 assists, while adding 2.9 rebounds. He was second on the team and fourth in the American Conference in three-point field goal percentage, connecting on 38.3% from behind the arc. He connected on 80 three-pointers, becoming the 12th player in school history to reach at least 80 threes in a season. He had 19 double-figure scoring games, two double-doubles, and three 20-point games, including a career-high 25 points in the season-finale against UTSA.
BC Prievidza is a member of the Tipos Slovak Basketball League, where it finished fourth with a 22-14 record. It was also the 2026 Slovakian Cup Champions.
