Greaves Named American Field Athlete of the Week

IRVING – Rice men's track and field red-shirt sophomore Jack Greaves was named the American Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Greaves set a personal best this past weekend at the 44 Farms Team Invite, with a throw of 74.22m to win the javelin event.
The mark currently ranks first in the American, fourth in the NCAA West Region, and ninth in the NCAA.
The Owls have a busy week between meets at Bryan Clay, Long Beach and UH.
