HOUSTON – The Rice women's tennis team travels to New Orleans this weekend to face No. 38 Charlotte and host Tulane.
Rice enters the weekend with a 7-4 record and is coming off a hard-fought 4-3 loss to then-ranked No. 36 Wichita State.
The Owls are 6-0 this season when winning the doubles point and 1-4 when dropping it. Nithesa Selvaraj leads Rice with three match-clinching points, while Uma Bakaityte, Francesca Magiuna, Divna Ratkovic and Ema Mravcova have accounted for the others.
Ratkovic earned American Conference Women's Player of the Week honors on March 3 after winning both her singles and doubles matches against Sam Houston.
The American currently has three ranked teams, led by Wichita State at No. 28, Charlotte at No. 38 and Rice at No. 56.
The match against Tulane will be streamed on ESPN+ with live stats available.
