Adams Named American Player of the Week

IRVING – After leading the Owls to a pair of wins, Rice redshirt junior guard Hailey Adams was named the American Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Adams led the way with a pair of double-doubles, first with 13 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and a block against the Bulls. She followed that with 11 points, a career-high 19 rebounds, four blocks and an assist in Rice's comeback win at ECU.
On the week, Adams averaged 12 points, 16 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and two assists per game, shooting 60% from the floor and 85.7% from the free throw line.
Rice (24-3, 14-0 American) eyes a 20th consecutive win Wednesday at Temple.
