Alexis Named American Honorable Mention

IRVING – Rice sophomore Aniah Alexis received another conference recognition after being named to the American Conference Honorable Mention for the fifth time this season, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Alexis led the Owls to a 2-0 week featuring wins over North Texas and Wichita State. Alexis first led Rice's comeback against the Mean Green with 16 points, six rebounds and two steals. She later added 13 points, five rebounds, two steals, an assist and block against the Shockers.

On the week, Alexis averaged 14.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.

Rice (22-3, 12-0 American) looks for its 18^th consecutive win Tuesday night against South Florida.
