Cary, North Carolina-Darya Schwartzman and Uma Bakaityte roared back from a 6-1 loss in their opening set to down Alex Jacobs and Anna-Marie Weissheim of Washington and advance to the quarterfinals of the doubles main draw consolation round at the IA Women's All-American on Thursday.
The Owls' duo evened the match with a 6-4 win in the second set and then rolled to a 10-4 verdict in the superset tiebreaker to even their record at 1-1. They will face Kansas' Heike Janse van Vuuren and Kyoka Kubo at 1:30 on Friday, looking for a berth in the semifinals.
