HOUSTON – Shelley Pennington and Friends Head Coach Lindsay Edmonds has announced the promotion of Madi Miller to an assistant coach ahead of the 2025-26 season. Miller served as the Director of Player Personnel during the 2024-25 season.
Miller enters her second season with the Owls after the team earned back-to-back trips to the AAC Championship game last season. Rice saw two athletes earn All-Conference selections (Malia Fisher, First Team and Dominique Ennis, Second Team), while Victoria Flores (Newcomer), Aniah Alexis (Freshmen) and Malia Fisher (Defensive) all also earned conference recognition.
"I am so excited for this promotion for Madi and the ability to keep her here on South Main," Edmonds said. "Madi has seamlessly fit into our program and culture this past season with her passion, commitment, and servant heart, always willing to jump in and do whatever is necessary for our team. Her professionalism, values, energy, and work ethic set her apart and have elevated our program in so many ways over the course of the past year. She is a star in the business and we are thankful she is a part of our family."
Miller joined the Owls last season after previously serving as a graduate assistant at SMU. Prior to being a Mustang, she was a five-year athlete at Abilene Christian, where Miller earned 83 starts and appeared in 147 games.
Miller was on the WBI team in 2021 and ACU's Southland Championship and NCAA Tournament qualifying team in 2019.
