Alexis Named American Honorable Mention

IRVING – Rice women's basketball collected another conference recognition with Aniah Alexis being named American Conference Honorable Mention, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Alexis led the Owls to a win over UT Arlington with 17 points, six rebounds, three steals, two assists and a block. Alexis added a perfect 8-of-8 showing from the free throw line.
This is the second time Alexis was named to the weekly honorable mention, and she was a preseason All-Conference Second Team selection.
Rice (8-3) heads to Grambling State Wednesday before the non-conference finale with HCU on Saturday.
