Selvaraj Advances to Consolation Semifinals

TULSA – The Rice women's tennis team concluded doubles play at the American Individual Championship on Friday.
The Owls opened the day in the doubles quarterfinals, where Nithesa Selvaraj and Divna Ratkovic fell to Tulane's Natalia Perez and Natalia Fantini, 8-3.
Ratkovic wrapped up the day with a singles quarterfinal loss to South Florida's Francesca Miglio, 7-6, 7-6.
Selvaraj competed in the consolation singles where she defeated Natalia Guerrero 8-4 and Ivona Savekova. With the wins she will advance to the Consolation Semifinals. She will face Carolina Alonso on Saturday, the time is yet to be determined.
