FORT WORTH – Rice women's tennis wrapped up play at the ITA Texas Regional Championship with a strong showing in singles competition.
Darya Schwartzman secured her spot in the NCAA Individual Championships after advancing to the ITA Regional Singles Final, winning five of six matches throughout the week. Schwartzman fell to No. 1 seed Mia Kupres, 4-6, 4-6, on Tuesday.
Francesca Maguina battled her way to the consolation singles final, where she fell to Letizia Corsini, 4-6, 5-7.
Schwartzman will compete at the NCAA Championships in Orlando, Florida, on Nov. 18-23.

Corsini (TCU) def. Maguina (RICE) 6-4, 7-5
