Men’s Basketball Begins AAC Home Slate against Charlotte

HOUSTON — Rice begins its American Athletic Conference home schedule this Saturday, Jan. 4, when it hosts Charlotte. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT and it will be streamed by ESPN+.

Scouting Rice
• Rice enters Saturday's American Athletic Conference home opener with a 10-4 record, including 1-0 in the AAC. The Owls have won three of its last four games after defeating Tulsa in its league-opener on Wednesday, 70-64.
• Rice is led by graduate guard Trae Broadnax, who leads the team with 13.9 points per game and 4.1 assists, which is tied for fourth in the American. He's also second on the team with 6.1 rebounds while connecting on 45.7% from the field.
• Graduate student guard/forward Kellen Amos is second on the team with 10.3 points and 3.2 assists, while grabbing 3.9 rebounds per game.
