Rice and Western Michigan to Meet in 2026 & 2027

First meeting since 2008 Texas Bowl
Houston- Rice and Western Michigan jointly announced on Tuesday the schools will meet in a home-and-home football series in 2026 and 2027.
Rice will host Western Michigan at Rice Stadium on September 19, 2026, and then travel to Kalamazoo the following year to face the Broncos on September 25, 2027.
The schools have met once in football with Rice capturing its first bowl championship in over 50 years by defeating WMU in the 2008 Texas Bowl.
