
Trevisan and Schwartzman Named to CSC Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Team

HOUSTON, Texas — Rice women's tennis placed a pair of athletes on the 2024 Academic All-District Women's Tennis Team, selected by College Sports Communicators. Federica Trevisan and Darya Schwartzman were each honored with the distinction.
The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Trevisan earned the award for the second time in her career after posting a 3.87 GPA while majoring in sports management. Trevisan was named to the AAC All-Conference Team this year after going 18-7 in singles matches, including a 14-6 mark during the dual match season. Trevisan was also named AAC Player of the Week twice during the season. Trevisan went 15-8 in doubles matches this year, including a 10-5 mark while playing exclusively with graduate senior Chie Kezuka at the No. 1 spot during the dual match season.
Schwartzman earned the honor after recording a 3.77 GPA while majoring in psychological sciences. Schwartzman earned one AAC Player of the Week nod this year while scoring a 12-11 singles record with a 5-7 mark in dual match play. Schwartzman also went 16-9 record in doubles matches, including a 10-7 mark in dual match season, all at the second position in the lineup while playing alongside junior Saara Orav and freshman Divna Ratkovic.
