Rice placed a pair of student-athletes on the AAC Women's Tennis All-Conference Team as selected in a vote of league coaches and announced on Wednesday. Senior Federica Trevisan and freshman Divna Ratkovic both came away with the honor for the 2024 season.
Trevisan was named to the all-conference team after posting a 14-6 record at the top position in the lineup. Trevisan was twice named the AAC Player of the Week this season, first doing so after going 4-0 in singles and doubles in a pair of 4-2 wins over AAC foes North Texas and Charlotte. Trevisan earned the honor again the following week after wins in another pair of Owl conference victories against South Florida and FAU. She scored her best win of the season by ITA ranking in a straight-sets win over LSU's, Florentine Dekkers, currently ranked 94th in the nation. Trevisan also went 10-5 in doubles play this season, also playing exclusively at the first position in the lineup and alongside graduate senior Chie Kezuka.
It is Trevisan's third time in her career being named to an all-conference team after previously being named all-Conference USA in 2021 and 2023.
Ratkovic earned the honor after compiling a 12-7 record at the second and third positions during the dual match season. Ratkovic also tallied an 8-3 mark during the fall tournament season, becoming only the third Owl to reach the 20-win plateau for a single year since 2019. She scored her best win of the season against SMU, defeating the nation's 118th-ranked player at the time in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Ratkovic closed the season on a three-match winning streak and was playing for match point in another two matches adjacent to the streak before those matches were abandoned. Ratkovic also posted a 12-13 mark in doubles play this year, splitting time at the second and third positions.
