
Fisher Named to AAC Honor Roll

HOUSTON – Rice junior forward Malia Fisher was named to the weekly AAC Honor Roll the conference announced Monday afternoon. This is her first conference honor of the regular season, after being named Preseason All-AAC Second Team.
Fisher led the Owls to a win over East Carolina, recording 22 points, eight rebounds and three steals against the Pirates. She followed that performance by dropping 20 points on the road at UAB. On the week, Fisher shot 55% from the floor, 50% from three and 100% from the free throw line.
Fisher is second on the team in points per game (11.8), while leading the team in rebounds (6.8), steals (1.5) and blocks (0.8) per game. She has reached double-digit points in 12 games and 20+ points three times this season
The Owls (15-10, 9-5 AAC) are back in action Tuesday night at Memphis.
