De la Bassetiere, Kapasi Prepare for ITA Sectionals

The tandem will look to earn a spot in the NCAA Championships
HOUSTON - The doubles tandem of Arthus de la Bassetiere and Kabeer Kapasi will look to claim a spot in the NCAA Championships, taking place later this fall, by advancing in the ITA Sectionals, hosted by TCU, from Thursday, November 7 to Sunday, November 10.
The duo most recently advanced to the semifinals of the AAC Men's and Women's Individual Championships hosted on South Main, where they fell to the duo of Luc Hoejimans and Luka Petrovic just shy of the championship match.
In the ITA Sectionals, the two will start on Thursday morning, taking on Louis Bowden and Quintan Van Wijk from Baylor to open competition.
In order to be considered for a place in the NCAA Championships, de la Bassetiere and Kapasi must be one of the final three doubles teams remaining in the bracket. The ITA states that three doubles teams from each section (12) will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the Sectional Championships (champion, finalist, third place).
