Ennis Named AAC Honorable Mention

IRVING – Rice junior Dominique Ennis was named American Athletic Conference Honorable Mention, the league office announced Monday afternoon. Ennis earns the second conference recognition of the season for the Owls.
Ennis led the Owls to a 3-0 week, featuring wins over South Alabama, Houston and Sam Houston. She led the Owls in two of those three contests scoring-wise, with 14 points against Houston and 15 points against Sam Houston.
On the week, Ennis averaged 13.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. Of her 15 made baskets, eight were three-pointers. Ennis is currently shooting 42.2% from the floor and 34.4% from three-point range.
The Owls (4-1) head out for their first road game of the season Thursday night at Gonzaga.
