Ngulefac Named AAC Honorable Mention

IRVING – Rice senior Sussy Ngulefac earned one of the first conference honors of the season, being named American Athletic Conference Honorable Mention, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Ngulefac led the Owls to their first win of the season in a comeback win over North Carolina A&T last Thursday night. Leading the team with the first double-double of the season, Ngulefac powered the Rice offense with 19 points and 10 rebounds while adding three blocks and two steals

On the week, Ngulefac averaged 15.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game. She is coming off a 2023-24 campaign in which she set the program record for field goal percentage at 69.7% from the field.

The Owls (1-1) will be back in action tonight against South Alabama.
