2024 Baseball Game Times Finalized

Rice Baseball has released game times for the upcoming 2024 season, the Owls first a member of the American Athletic Conference.
The 31-game home slate will be divided almost equally between night and day games, with 16 scheduled under the lights and 15 during the day. Eight of the 16 night games will be on Friday to open the weekend series, and the other eight will be single weeknight games.
All night games are scheduled for 6:30, with the exception of the February 28 midweek game with defending national champion LSU, which will start at 7 p.m.
Weekend home games are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday, with the exception of the middle game of the Stanford series on March 2, which will start at 4:30 to avoid a conflict with the home season finale for women's basketball with North Texas at 2 p.m.
The 2024 season opens with a 6:30 night game against Notre Dame at Reckling Park, the first time the two schools have met in a three-game series, as well as a home series with 2023 CWS participant Stanford (March 1-3) in the second home weekend series of the season.
Rice opens its first season in the AAC on March 22-24 with the renewal of the series with Tulane, highlighted by postgame fireworks after Friday night's opening game. The Green Wave will be followed by Memphis (April 5-7), UAB (April 13-15), UTSA (April 26-28), and Florida Atlantic (May 10-12) in conference action at Reckling Park in 2024.
Bixby Family Head Baseball Coach José Cruz Jr. and the Owls will open formal practices on Friday, January 26, and will welcome fans to Reckling two days later for the annual Fan Fest on Sunday, January 28. Festivities begin at 11:15, followed by a scrimmage at 2 p.m. Admission is free, but fans are asked to RSVP in advance.
Season tickets for the Owls' historic first season in The American are currently on sale. Fans interested in bringing a group of 15 or more to see the Owls in action in 2024 can express their interest by filling out this form.
