Tied a school record with four TD passes in the first half
Rice quarterback JT Daniels has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll for his performance in the Owls' 59-7 win over Texas Southern on September 16.
Daniels tied his career high with four touchdown passes and tied a school record by throwing all four in the first half. Chase Clement set the record vs. SMU in 2008. Daniels' 70-yard touchdown strike to Kobie Campbell to extend the Rice lead to 21-0 was the longest completion of his career.
He is second in the AAC with eight touchdown passes, 268.3 yards passing per game, and a 165.9 passing efficiency rating, and fourth in total offense (264 yards per game).
Daniels and the Owls will make their AAC debut this Saturday when they face USF in Tampa at 3 p.m. (central) on Saturday.
