Owls Open Inaugural AAC Football Media Event on Monday

Bloomgren and four players represent Owls
Dunlevie Family Head Football Coach Mike Bloomgren, quarterback JT Daniels, wide receiver Luke McCaffrey, linebacker Myron Morrison and rush end Josh Pearcy will represent Rice at The American Athletic Conference Football Media Days, which opens in Arlington on Monday.
The Owls' inaugural appearance in the event opens on Monday afternoon with a series of photo and video shoots followed by the American Kickoff Dinner on Monday night. Activities conclude with various media sessions on Tuesday morning.
Bloomgren media session will be broadcast live at 11:55 on Tuesday. A full recap of the media event will be available on ESPN+.
The Owls will open their 2023 training camp on Wednesday, August 2 to begin preparations for the season opener on September 2 in Austin against Texas. They open the home schedule the following week by hosting Houston in the 42nd Bayou Bucket presented by HEB. They make their AAC debut on the road against USF on September 23 and host East Carolina the following week in their first home game in their new conference.
Season tickets, mini-plan, or group tickets for the historic first season in the AAC are now on sale through the Rice Athletics Ticket Office.
