Owls play their final C-USA road game on Sundayt
Bowling Green, KY: WKU broke open a tight game with seven runs in the seventh inning and went on to defeat Rice 10-2 on Saturday night.
The Details: The Owls opened the scoring in the top of the first. Max Johnson led off the game with a single. With two outs, he stole second and then came home to score on a single by Connor Walsh. WKU tied the game with a single run in the second and took the lead with a pair in the fifth. Jack Riedel opened the sixth with a double to extend his hitting streak to 16 games, advanced to third on a fly out, and scored on a sac fly by Walsh to draw the Owls within one at 3-2.

- Riedel's double extended his hitting streak to 16 games, matching the longest by an Owl since Braden Comeaux had a 16-game streak from 2/23-3/3/17/2018. The last Owl to have a longer hitting streak than 16 games was Ford Proctor, who hit in18 straight games at the start of his freshman season in 2016. Riedel is hitting .439 over his streak (29x66).
- Walsh's two RBI gave him five in his last four games.
