Senior Day Wraps up Dual Campaign on Sunday

Sydney Berlin, Maria Budin and Diae El Jardi to be honored on Sunday
In Brief: The 56th-ranked Rice women's tennis team wraps up its 2023 regular season schedule this weekend with a road match at Houston on Saturday before closing the season at home on Sunday when the Owls salute seniors Sydney Berlin, Maria Budin and Diae El Jardi before taking on Prairie View A&M.
Promotionally Speaking: Free pizza will be available for all fans and there will be a Rayban giveaway for Rice students.

The Owls: Rice is 10-7, 8-4 at GRBTC, and 5-0 in Conference USA.
Houston: The Cougars are 12-8 this year after defeating North Texas at home on Friday. They will be holding their Senior Day ceremonies prior to the match with the Owls. Rice has last the last nine duals between the schools.
Prairie View A&M: The Panthers are 5-22 this year and are coming off a 4-0 win at Southern last weekend. This will be the third meeting between the schools with Rice winning each one, including a 7-0 win in 2021.
George R. Brown Tennis Center: Rice has posted a 72-19 regular-season record at GRBTC (14-0 in C-USA play) since making their debut at their new home by defeating Lamar 7-0 on 1/17/15. The Owls have also posted a 6-0 postseason mark while winning a pair of Conference USA titles at home (2015 & 2019).
Up Next: The Owls will travel to Denton, Texas next week for the Conference USA Championship, April 20-23.
