
Women’s Basketball Earns Bid to WNIT

For the tenth time in program history, the Rice women's basketball team has accepted a bid to compete in the Women's National Invitational Tournament, the first postseason appearance since the Owls won the WNIT in 2021.
The WNIT appearance marks the first postseason bid for second year head coach Lindsay Edmonds.
The Owls will learn their opponent and location for the tournament tomorrow (March 13) afternoon.
Rice will enter the tournament after posting a 22-8 record, which included the best start in program history after finishing non-conference play with a perfect 9-0 record.
The tournament will begin with the round one games from March 15-17 at designated host schools.
