The Owls: Rice evened its record at 3-3 with a 4-3 win over Elon last weekend, the fifth time in six matches that the final score was 4-3. LSU: The Tigers come to Houston with a 1-1 record after splitting a pair of matches at the ITA Kickoff Weekend Athens Regional. They fell to host Georgia 4-1 and then edged Miami 4-3. LSU leads the series with Rice with a 13-5 record since 2004 and has won the last three in the series. Rice holds a 2-1 lead in matches played at the George R. This is the fourth time the match with LSU has been part of a combined dual with the women and the first when not combined with the LSU women's team. The two squads met here in 2016 and 2020 and in Baton Rouge in 2019.
