
Ennis Named to AAC Honor Roll

HOUSTON – Rice sophomore guard Dominique Ennis was named to the weekly AAC Honor Roll the conference announced Monday afternoon. Ennis receives the first in-season honor for the Rice women's basketball team.
Ennis led the Owls to a 2-0 week with a 74-44 win over Texas Southern and an 84-56 win at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Ennis dropped a career-high 25 points against Texas Southern and finished with 14 points against the Islanders.
Ennis had career highs in points (25), made field goals (nine), three-pointers (six) and assists (five) against Texas Southern. She leads the team with 12.6 points per game and has been the leading scorer for the Owls in five of Rice's eight games.
The Owls will be back in action on Saturday when the team welcomes No. 23 Gonzaga to Tudor Fieldhouse at 2 p.m.
