Rice Women's Tennis Continues Strong Showing at Rice Invitational

Sophomore Darya Schwartzman and freshman Divna Ratkovic led Rice women's tennis with three total victories each on day two at the Rice Invitational at the George R. Brown Tennis Center on Saturday. The Owls posted 4-2 and 4-1 marks as a team in doubles and singles play, respectively.
The Details
In doubles play, Schwartzman and Ratkovic teamed up for a 6-1 victory over a doubles team from UTA. Schwartzman then teamed with junior Saara Orav to defeat an opponent from Western Kentucky, while Ratkovic teamed with freshman Anushka Ashar in another win over a WKU duo. Graduate senior Chie Kezuka and senior Federica Trevisan also combined for a 6-1 win over opponents from Houston.
In singles action, Schwartzman, Ratkovic, Kezuka and Orav all posted straight-set victories over opponents from UTSA.
