Men’s Basketball Returns Home to Face UT-Martin

HOUSTON — Rice begins a stretch of four games in Houston this Thursday, Nov. 30, when it hosts UT-Martin. Tip-off is scheduled for approximately 7 p.m. CT and will be streamed by ESPN+.

Scouting Rice
• Rice enters Thursday's home tilt with a 1-5 record after falling to UC-Irvine, 83-68, last Friday in the final game of the Ball Dawgs Classic.
• The Owls are led by fifth-year senior guard Travis Evee, who is scoring 14.8 points per game while adding 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals. He's also tied for fifth in the American Athletic Conference in free throw percentage, connecting on 89.7% from the charity stripe.
• Sophomore guard Mekhi Mason is second on the team with 12.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists. He also leads the team in three-point field goal percentage, connecting on 38.1% from behind the arc.
• Fifth-year senior forward Max Fiedler is averaging 10.8 points, while leading the team with 8.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists, which is are both second in the AAC, respectively. He's also connecting on 64.4% from the floor, which is fourth in the conference. Fiedler is second in the American in offensive rebounds with 3.7 per game.
• Graduate student guard Antony Selden is scoring 8.7 points per game. He's pulling down 2.5 rebounds and is connecting on 47.2% from the field.
• The Owls are scoring 75.5 points pe game while allowing 83.7.
• Rice is connecting on 43.2% from the field and 33.6% from three. Its opponents are connecting on 50.3% from the field and 37.8% from beyond the arc.
