Hunter-Galvan Leads Owls at NCAA Regional

FAYETTEVILLE - The Rice women's cross country team wrapped up the 2023 season this morning at the NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville, Ark. The Owls finished 10th as a team out of the 30 schools.
Taigen Hunter-Galvan led the Owls in the 6k race, finishing 26th with a time of 21:22.1, while Amelie Attenborough was close behind in 30th with a time of 21:47.3
Emma Hourican, Alisa Meraz-Fishbein and Cici Calhoun rounded out the Rice scorers, finishing within 30 seconds of each other.
Arkansas won the meet with four runners in the top 10. Sydney Thorvaldson won the race for the Razorbacks with a time of 19:52.0
