
Owls and Tulane to Meet at 3 p.m.

Rice will take on defending Cotton Bowl champion Tulane at 3 p.m. (central) on Saturday, October 28 with coverage on ESPN 2. The AAC and ESPN jointly announced the time of the game and broadcast partner assignment on Monday.
This will be the first meeting between the long-time foes since Rice defeated the Green Wave 17-13 on November 30, 2013, to clinch the C-USA Western Division title and earn the right to host Marshall in the conference championship game.
Rice and Tulane have met 35 times in football, dating back to the inaugural meeting in 1916 when Rice won 23-13. Rice leads the all-time series 20-15, including a 13-6 edge in games in Houston.
The Tulane game will be the final event surrounding the induction of the newest class into the Rice Athletics Hall of Fame as well as Letterwnners' Day.
