Men’s T&F Opens Indoor Season At UH

HOUSTON – The Rice Owls men's track & field team opens the 2023 indoor season at the University of Houston tomorrow for the Robert Platt Invitational at Yeoman Fieldhouse. The invitational is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
In total, the Owls will have 18 athletes competing in six events. Schools aside from Rice and Houston competing are Central Arkansas, Houston Christian, Lamar, Prairie View, SFA, St. Thomas, TAMU-Kingsville, TAMU-Corpus-Christi, Texas Southern, UTRGV and UTSA.
Last week several Rice athletes competed at UH's Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational, with Elian Ahmar finishing in first place for shot put with a throw of 17.62m while Jorge Hinojosa finished fifth with a distance of 15.84m.
