Fourth Annual Craft Brew Tailgate Festival Set for Oct. 1

The fourth annual Craft Brew Tailgate Festival will return to the Rice campus on Saturday, October 1 when the Owls take on UAB at 6:30 p.m. The event will once again be hosted at the beautiful George R. Brown Tennis Center with gates opening at 3:30 p.m., three hours prior to the Owls and Blazers kickoff, and the event will conclude at 6:00 p.m.
Fans will be able to sample the latest local craft brewery offerings from four local Houston breweries, as well as offerings from Rice partners Yuengling and Accolade Wines, at their own pace and have access to purchase a special $25 ticket to the game. The full list of participants includes: Karbach Brewing, Saint Arnold Brew Co, 8th Wonder Brewing, Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, Eureka Heights Brew Co., Yuengling, and Accolade Wines, who will be sampling wines from Hardy and J-Shed. The event is free to all Rice Football season ticket members who RSVP in advance, which can be done by clicking here. Fans can also enjoy Tailgate Owley, the official Rice Athletics tailgate area, located directly east of Rice Stadium. In Tailgate Owley, Rice fans of all ages can enjoy a great pre-game experience! Come enjoy military activations to celebrate our Salue to Service Day, jump around on the inflatable in the Kids Zone, and watch pre-game performances from our spirit squads. Fans can gear up for the game as they shop in the Rice Team Store Trailer, and enjoy free giveaways and activities from Rice corporate partners.
