Owls Head to Arlington for 2022 Ryan C-USA Football Kickoff

Media event returns to in-person format
Rice head coach Mike Bloomgren, offensive guard Shea Baker and defensive end Trey Schuman will join the head coaches and student-athletes from the 10 other Conference USA schools at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on Wednesday for the 2022 Ryan C-USA Football Kickoff.
The annual media gathering will be held in person for the first time since 2019 and at a new venue, the home of the Texas Rangers. In addition to traditional press conferences and media availability, all participants will also take part in a live ESPN+ show beginning at 10 a.m. CT, hosted by ESPN's John Schriffen. Bloomgren, Baker and Schuman are scheduled to appear on the show beginning at 11:45 Wednesday morning.
The Owls will report for their 2022 training camp on August 2 and hold their first practice on August 3 in preparation for the season opener against USC in Los Angeles on September 3.
