In Brief: Rice returns to action on Saturday as they wrap up their Conference USA regular-season schedule with a road match against UTSA in San Antonio on Saturday.

The Owls: Rice is 10-11 (0-3 in C-USA play) heading into the final two weeks of the regular season.

UTSA: The Roadroadrunners are 10-10 overall and 0-3 vs. Conference USA competition. Rice and UTSA have both dropped matches to Charlotte and Old Dominion. Rice leads the all-time series 18-6 and a 6-5 lead in conference regular-season play, 1-1 at the C-USA Championship. UTSA downed the Owls 4-2 in the title match of the 2015 tournament while Rice dropped the Roadrunners 4-0 in 2017 on the way to taking the team title. UTSA swept a pair of matches last season.

Notable:

Rice is 7-3 when clinching the doubles point, 3-8 when dropping the first point of the match.
Freshman Haoyuan Huang (14-5) leads the Owls in singles and has won his last 10 of his last 12 decisions. He is 10-3 while playing at the first line.
