
Levesque Earns Co-C-USA Field Performer of the Meet

Freshman won heptathlon with 5626 points
DALLAS - Rice freshman heptathlete Grant Levesque was selected the Conference USA Indoor Co-Male Field Performer of the Meet along with Southern Miss' Corvell Todd (jumps), the league office announced on Wednesday (3/2).
Levesque joins former Rice great Chris Pillow (2015) as Owls who have earned the C-USA Indoor Field Performer of the Meet since the award was established in 2014.
Levesque, from El Paso, Texas, captured his first Conference USA title in the heptathlon with 5626 points back on Feb. 20. He was victorious in the 60m hurdles (8.19) and pole vault (5.39m-C-USA meet record) while placing second in the 60m dash (6.97), long jump (7.02m), and shot put (12.79m). His score of 5626 points currently ranks No. 26 in the NCAA this season.
In addition, Levesque also earned all-conference honors in the main pole vault competition, finishing in second place with a clearance of (5.04m) to total 18 individual points overall.
