Scouting Rice
• Rice enters the College Basketball Invitational as the 14th-seed. The Owls are 16-16 after falling in the quarterfinals of the Conference USA Tournament, 68-50, to North Texas.
• Guard Carl Pierre leads the team and is seventh in C-USA with 15.3 points per game while pulling down 4.6 rebounds per game. He leads C-USA in three-point field goal percentage (40.9%), is second in three-pointers made per game (3.0), and seventh in field goal percentage (46.7%).
