Return home to host Marquette on Friday
In Brief: Shook off a tight loss in doubles to take command in singles and post a 4-1 win over North Texas on Sunday. The 71st ranked Owls improved to 9-3 on the season and 2-0 in Conference USA.
Doubles: The doubles point came down to a tiebreaker at the first line, and UNT grabbed the early lead by taking the deciding set 7-5.
Singles: The Owls rebounded from the loss in doubles to race out to wins in all six first sets and saw Anna Bowtell, Federica Trevisan, Allison Zipoli, and Saara Orav roll to straight-set wins with Orav delivering the clinching point.
Up Next: Rice returns home next weekend to host Marquette and Tulane at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
