In Brief: Rice hits the road on Friday to take on #14 Texas then returns home to host Abilene Christian on Super Bowl Sunday.

The Owls: Rice is 4-2 after dropping a 4-3 decision to Louisiana on Sunday. Trinity Grear improved to 6-0 and Campbell Salmon improved to 5-0 in singles with wins against the Ragin' Cajuns.
Texas: The Longhorns (4-3) are ranked 14th in the latest ITA Coaches Poll, dropping out of the top 10 after falling to #2 Baylor 6-1 on Monday. They feature four ranked players in singles (No. 57 Micah Braswell; No. 62 Pierre-Yves Bailly; No. 75 Richard Ciamarra and No. 110 Cleeve Harper) in addition to a pair of ranked doubles teams (No. 15 Richard Ciamarra/Cleeve Harper; No. 35 Eliot Spizzirri/Siem Woldeabin). Texas leads the all-time series 74-17-2 which ranks as the four-longest series for the Longhorns and have won the last 16 meetings. Rice's last win over Texas was in Austin in 2007, 4-3.
ACU: Rice has won all 17 meetings with the Wildcats including a 4-0 win last year at GRBTC. ACU is 1-6 this season heading into a match with UT-Arlington on Friday. Two of the Wildcats losses have come at the hands of #2 Baylor (7-0) and #4 TCU (4-1).
Super Sunday: Sunday's match will mark the 13th time the Owls have played on Super Sunday. Rice is 6-7 all-time when playing on that date and the NFC was won four of six championships decided on days the Owls have won, while the AFC has won four of seven when the Owls dropped their match. Rice is 4-0 when playing at home on Super Sunday and the NFC has prevailed on three of those four days.
