Play concludes at ITA Texas Regional
In Brief: Haoyuan Huang and Trinity Grear advanced to the Round of 16 on Saturday before falling later in the day to wrap up competition for Rice at the ITA Division I Men's Texas Regional at the Hurd Tennis Center.
The Details: The Owls advanced four to Saturday morning's round of 32 and Huang and Grear both advanced with wins. Yasha Zemel took second-seed Noah Schacter of Texas A&M to three sets and a pair of tiebreakers before falling. Freshman Santiago Navarro was eliminated another Aggie (Trey Hilderbrand). Huang was eliminated by the tourney's top seed,Tadeas Paroulek of Baylor, while Greer saw his run from the qualifying round end at the hands of Pierce Rolllins of Texas A&M.
