For the first time in over a month, the Rice Owls women's basketball team will once again play a home game at Tudor Fieldhouse when they host WKU (9-4, 2-0) and Marshall (7-4, 2-0) this week. Rice last played at home back on Dec. 11 when they defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 69-61 in what turned out to be their non-conference home finale. The Owls will host the Lady Toppers on Jan. 13 (7 p.m.) in the C-USA home opener, followed by a 2 p.m. contest on Jan. 15 against Marshall. Rice leads the all-time series versus WKU, 6-3, as well as their series against Marshall, 11-5.

After a 23-day layoff that included postponements, cancelations, and the Christmas break, the Owls returned to the hardwood on Jan. 7, falling 87-63 on the road to the reigning C-USA champion Middle Tennessee Lady Raiders in the team's conference opener. Rice redshirt freshman Maya Bokunewicz had a career outing by scoring a season-high 20 points in 34 minutes off the bench on 7-of-14 shooting from the field, including 4-of-7 from three-point territory.
