HOUSTON, Texas — Rice head basketball coach Scott Pera announced the addition of Vince Hall as the Men's Basketball Strength and Conditioning Coach Wednesday afternoon.
"I am excited to announce the addition of Vince Hall as our new strength and conditioning coach," said Pera. "Vince is no stranger to our program as he served as an intern for us three years ago. He was my first call when the opening occurred and I am thrilled he decided to join us. He brings tremendous knowledge but also a positive outlook and tremendous energy to our program."
Hall returns to South Main where he was an intern during the 2018-19 season. He worked with men's basketball as well as baseball, women's tennis, men's golf and men's and women's track.
Hall spent the last year as a Performance Coach at St. Thomas, where he directed sport specific training for the baseball team while also developing rehabilitation solutions for injured athletes. He also served as the Director of Performance Training at D1 Training Sugarland, where he designed and implemented specific programs to enhance performance of its members.
Said Hall, "I'm honored to be back as a Rice Owl. My journey to Rice started here at Tudor as a volunteer intern. I never thought that I would be back three years later as the Director of Sport Performance for Men's Basketball. I would like to thank Coach Pera and staff for acknowledging my efforts as an intern to now officially be a member of the staff. Go Owls!"
Hall graduated from Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Education. He was a member of the Cougar football team in 2013-14.
