C-USA releases 2021 broadcast schedule
Rice Football will play the majority of its season during the daytime hours as game times for the 2021 campaign were released on Tuesday as part of Conference USA's complete broadcast schedule for the upcoming season.
The Owls will open the 2021 slate on September 4 on the road at Arkansas with kickoff set for 1 p.m. and coverage by ESPN+/SEC+, the first of 10 games that will appear on ESPN's platforms. Rice returns home the following week to open the 2021 home scheduled by hosting Houston in the 40th Bayou Bucket at 5:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
After a September 18 road trip to Austin to face Texas at 7 p.m. on the Longhorn Network, the Owls return home for a pair of 5:30 contests against Texas Southern (September 25) and Southern Miss (October 2).
Rice returns to the road in the middle of October with games at UTSA (5:00 p.m. on October 16) and UAB (kickoff time pending on October 23). The final road contests of the year are set for 2:30 (at Charlotte on November 6) and 3:00 p.m. (at UTEP on November 20).
The final three home games of the year feature 1:00 p.m. kickoffs with North Texas (October 30) and WKU (November 13) and a noon starting time for Senior Day vs. LA Tech on November 27.
The 2021 C-USA Championship game on Saturday, December 4 will air on CBS Sports Network.
