Gneiting Named To C-USA Baseball All-Academic Team

DALLAS — Rice's Bradley Gneiting was named 2021 Conference USA Baseball All-Academic Team, the league office announced Monday in Dallas, Texas.
Gneiting was already a Rice University graduate in 2020 who stayed on for the 2021 season in order to earn a Master of Accounting, which he accomplished with a 3.64 grade point average. On the baseball field the versatile first baseman (26 starts) and outfielder (24 starts) batted .302 for the full season and usually hit second or third in the order (31 times). The Keller, Texas, native led the Owls in RBI (37) and doubles (10) and he was second on the squad in home runs (8) and total bases (91). He was four-time selection to the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll and was named the Rice Baseball program's Scholar-Athlete for the 2020 season.
